About Us

Having always been interested in cars, on leaving school I trained to be a mechanic in a local independent garage. I passed all exams at City and Guilds Level.

I then moved on to work for the MOD at RAF Manston after gaining five years valuable experience working on everything from cars to fire engines. I decided to leave and start up my own garage. So in 1999 Jim’s Garage opened its doors.

Since opening we have worked on a wide range of vehicles ranging from your basic Mini to a one off Hill Climb Sprint car.
